Home, School & Childcare Support
At Lotus Kids OT, we focus on adapting the environment or task - not the child.
Support is practical, collaborative, and tailored to where your child lives, learns, and plays.
This may include:
Home, classroom, or childcare observations
Sensory-informed environmental adjustments
Adapting tasks, routines, and expectations
Visual supports and predictable structures
Supporting transitions and daily participation
Collaborative problem-solving with educators and caregivers
Our neuro-affirming approach aims to reduce stress, support regulation, and increase participation, while honouring each child’s individuality.
Parent/Caregiver Coaching
At Lotus Kids OT, we recognise parents and caregivers as the experts on their child. Coaching is a collaborative process designed to support you, not to “fix” your child.
Support may include:
Understanding your child’s nervous system and sensory needs
Exploring what behaviour is communicating
Supporting co-regulation and emotional safety
Adapting routines, environments, and expectations
Practical strategies for everyday challenges
Our neuro-affirming approach focuses on connection, safety, and participation - not compliance or behaviour change.
Parent & caregiver coaching can occur within sessions, as parent-only support, or alongside schools and early learning settings.
Skill-based Programs
Our skill-based group programs support children to build meaningful skills in a safe, inclusive, and supportive group environment.
Groups are strengths-based and participation-focused, with an emphasis on connection, confidence, and real-life application.
Programs may support:
Social participation and peer connection
Emotional regulation and co-regulation skills
Confidence and self-advocacy
Play, cooperation, and group participation
Groups are intentionally small and thoughtfully structured to support nervous system safety, individual differences, and a sense of belonging.
